Module 2 Course Details: Generator Electrical Fundamentals, Operating, Maintaining And Fault Finding For Diesel Generators (5 Days)

The generator set is a combination of technologies which involves a diesel engine, ac alternator, electrical control circuitry and programmable controllers. This combination makes operating and fault-finding a challenge to the generator technician. It has been found that over 85% of problems can be directly related to electrical faults associated with the generator set.

Module 2 provides the participant with knowledge of the diesel engine, AC alternator, generator protection, generator controllers, generator control circuitry, basic sizing and selection of emergency generators combined with maintenance and fault-finding knowledge needed to successfully operate and maintain a diesel generator set.
